Monday, Sept. 30 the Fairbury Junior Varsity Football team played the Milford Eagles at home. The Jeffs suffered a 47-6 loss, and Braden Suey ’22 scored the Jeffs lone touchdown.
“I think we learned about ourselves a lot. When you’re down 28-6 and your team can show some fight in the second half that is what you want on your team,” Sophomore Peyton Grubbs said. “You want a team that is gonna bust their tails and get back to the grind and get better. I think we can improve our tackling for JV. That was the bad side of last night. I think if we can tackle we should win the rest of our JV games”.

Sophomore Mykah Folkers breaks down to tackle the opponent in last night’s game.
The Junior Varsity team will be in action next Monday, Oct. 7 at Auburn. The next time they will play at home will be on Oct. 21 against Falls City.
