Fairbury Jeffs Girls Varsity won their first game of the season against Fillmore Central 41-38. “It’s always great to get that first win of the year,” said Head Girl’s Basketball Coach Amy Engle-Evans. “I thought our girls effort and intensity has been great in the first two games and really made a difference on Saturday. We rebounded the ball well on Saturday as well as out rebounding them by 10 which is our team goal.”
Jaelle Johnson was the Jeffs leading scorer with 14 total points. Next was Sara Huss with ten and Macy Ohlde with seven. Both Ohlde and Jaelle scored a three point shot. The girls next game is today at Superior with Varsity starting at 6:15.
